Children's Area The Children's Collection exists for the enjoyment of the young and the young at heart. Our staff assist children, parents, and other adults who work with children in finding materials they need and enjoy. The collection includes board books, beginning readers, children's fiction, children's non-fiction, big books and magazines. The library also provides children's music CDs and tapes, books on tape and CD, and children's videos. Book and tape kits, puppet and book kits are also available for loan. A Family Resource Center Collection is available for parents, teachers and daycare providers. The children's area is located in the old Carnegie portion of the building. Young visitors are provided with games, puzzles and computer access for in-house use with parental supervision. StoryTime Kids, parents and caregivers are welcome for informal fun at the library StoryTime. Go ahead and giggle, laugh out loud, make new friends and maybe spread some glitter around. Children ages 3 thru 5 are encouraged to explore with a variety of stories, crafts and activities. A responsible adult is required to attend with the child. StoryTimes are held during the school year on Tuesdays at 10:00am - 10:45am. If school is canceled, so is StoryTime!
